- I was too hung up on what I was supposed to be drawing rather than what was right in front of me a (my face)
- Edwards complained the same about her students
- I was too focused on the generic idea of the head that I missed drawing the key details even though my face was right in front of me
- I drew my eyes as circles and my nose as a triangle rather than the ovals and 3-d effect that should have been there
- One exception was I paid closer attention to my hair which was the realest looking part about my drawing
- I focused most of my time around that and it came out the best so if I focus my time equally throughout the whole drawing it would have come out as a real work of art
